Board Members

Torey Page, PT, DPT, OCS


Dr. Torey Page is recognized as a specialist in evaluation and rehabilitation of the lower extremity, pelvis, spine, and shoulder. During his career he has had the privilege of helping thousands of patients return to their sport, as well as their recreational activities and hobbies. He is a specialist in the analysis of human movement and biomechanics, with advanced training in running mechanics, running retraining, and return to sport training. 

Dr. Page received his doctorate of physical therapy from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Ca. He is not only a board certified physical therapist, but is also recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a specialist in evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions (OCS). Furthermore, he has completed an advanced fellowship in biomechanics analysis, gait and running mechanics, and return to sport assessment and training under Christopher Powers.

Michael Steimling II PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT


Dr. Michael Steimling is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and is the primary academic faculty for the musculoskeletal series. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Exercise Science in 2010, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2013. Dr. Steimling has distinguished himself as a clinical expert in sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation. He has been an ABPTS board-certified clinical specialist in orthopaedics since 2015 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists since completing the Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy from Regis University in 2018.

Dr. Steimling's research interests include running biomechanics, risk factors related to running-related injury, and the use of gait retraining in the management of injured distance runners. He has published his research in peer-reviewed journals, presented at local, state, and national conferences, and received funding from the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Gregory Holtzman, PT, DPT, SCS


Gregory Holtzman, PT, DPT, SCS is a Professor of Physical Therapy at Washington University in St Louis. Dr. Holtzman maintains a clinical practice with an emphasis on the evaluation and treatment of lower back and lower extremity pain and injury, specializing in the treatment of both recreational and competitive runners.   Dr. Holtzman is also heavily involved in instructing entry level physical therapy students in courses related to outpatient musculoskeletal care and is a member of the clinical education team.  Dr. Holtzman enjoys running and spending time with his family.

Research Interests:

Acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions as well as post-surgical conditions, neck, thoracic spine, low back pain; hip, knee and ankle pain; shoulder impingement; thoracic outlet syndrome; osteoarthritis; post-op shoulder and knee repairs; total knee and hip replacements, running clinic.

Clinical Interest:

Running-related injuries, acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions as well as postsurgical conditions of the lower back and lower extremity to include lumbar spine, hip, knee, ankle/foot.

Amanda Olson, PT, DPT, PRPC


Dr. Olson earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Pacific University, and a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Regis University, graduating as a member of the Jesuit National Honor Society. She is holds a Certification of Achievement in pelvic floor physical therapy (CAPP-PF) from the American Physical Therapy Association, and the Pelvic Floor Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Institute. She is also a certified Stott Pilates instructor and RRCA certified running coach.

She is the president and chief clinical officer of Intimate Rose where she develops pelvic health products and education.  She is passionate about empowering women and men with pelvic health issues including pelvic pain, incontinence, pregnancy, and post-partum issues.

Dr. Olson was the 2025 winner of the Elizabeth Noble Award. This award, presented by the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, recognizes those who have made a profound impact on patient care, education, and innovation in the field.

Nicole Sabes, PT, DPT


Dr. Nicole Sabes earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Exercise and Sports Studies from UC Santa Barbara, where her passion for physical therapy began as a collegiate track and field athlete. After overcoming her own sports-related injuries, she was inspired to help others heal, move better, and stay injury-free. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s University and currently practices in San Francisco, California.


Dr. Sabes has partnered with numerous Bay Area run clubs, triathlon teams, and orthopedic groups to deliver engaging, evidence-based workshops on topics like gait analysis, strength training, and injury prevention. Her clinical practice combines education, movement analysis, and progressive strength programming to help athletes recover, prevent re-injury, and perform at their best.

Dr. Sabes leads by example. She's an active runner herself and was part of the Guinness World Record–breaking Women’s 100x1 Mile Relay team. She races everything from the mile to the marathon. In her marathon debut, she ran a 3:08, earning a Boston Marathon qualifying time.

Lindsay Orbeta, MS, RD 


A career Registered Dietitian with a double Master of Science in Sports Nutrition + Exercise Physiology, Lindsay earned her Board Certification Sports Dietetics (CSSD) in 2015. She currently works as the Sports Dietitian for the UCSF Women's Sports Medicine Clinic at the Orthopaedic Institute.

Lindsay was recently a consultant for the Oakland men's pro-soccer team (ROOTs- United Soccer League). Since 2019, Lindsay has served as the Sports RD for the UCSF Human Performance Center's RunSafe Clinics, counseling >150 runner runners annually. Formerly, she managed the UCSF Metabolic Research & Testing Lab at UCSF and was DXA-certified, affording her mastery in body composition and bone health.

A collegiate scholarship swimmer and former Ironman 140.6 triathlete, Lindsay is also published as 2nd author in a 2023 peer-reviewed ACSM publication on ketogenic applications to road cycling. She is now a surfer who also trail runs & weight trains. Perhaps she is most proud of her ACL-tear/ knee reconstructive surgery 1 year ago, where she rehabbed like it was her job, applied her own nutrition expertise onto herself to returned to surfing 5 months post-surgery.
